I’ve walked around a bit of the city now. The grid system makes it quite easy to find your way around. There seems to be more of a cafe culture rather than a pub culture here. And it’s quite warm. People are still sitting outside, usually the smokers since it’s not allowed inside.

Tomorrow I’m off to Lasqueti Island (which is off the East coast of Vancouver island (which is off the West coast of Canada)). I have to get to the ferry port by 10 and it’s about 10km from here so will need to get up early. It’s now 1:28am so I’d better go to bed.

It’s raining again. Has been dry for the past day and a half but the forecast for tomorrow is more rain, so I’ll be wearing my gaters.
